Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Welder - 2nd Shift. The core hours are 2:15pm to 10:45pm. The hourly rate for this position is 27.17 per hour.

What you'll do: \n - Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components
\n - Use bolts, screws, hand tools, clips and other fastening devices
\n - Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams
\n - Handle 50-pound parts to assist with large part construction
\n - Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
\n \n - Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
\n - Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
\n - Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.

Qualifications: Basic (Required) Qualifications: \n - No relocation is available for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Reno, NV facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Position Criteria: \n - Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
\n - Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.
\n - Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise
\n - Handle materials that pertain to large part construction, weighing 50 pounds multiple times per day

Skills: Physical Demands: \n - Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
\n - Able to regularly lift 50 pounds without assistance. Occasionally lift more than 50 lbs. with assistance.
\n - Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas).
\n - Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity.
\n - Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents.
