Job Overview Epoca International is a designer and distributor of consumer houseware products. Epoca is focused on building strong consumer brands and driving innovation within the marketplace. Our portfolio includes Paris Hilton housewares, Ecolution Cookware, Primula Beverage Products, Tasty home goods and Cooking Light kitchen products, as well as a variety of private label retailer offerings. Packaging Designer responsible for creating innovative and visually appealing packaging designs for a wide range of kitchen products. These include well-known brands such as Ecolution, Primula, Cooking Light, Tasty, and other private labels. This contract position will be for 30 hours a week, 4 days in-office with potential to convert to fulltime. Candidate should be comfortable commuting to the Boca Raton office. Local candidates only. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop innovative packaging design graphics for multiple structures Create and modify packaging die lines Strong experience in print graphics Should be comfortable using ai apps in design and production of art Highly organized, accountable, and capable of solving problems Must have experience creating and cutting mock-ups Communicate information on materials and packaging design to cross-functional teams Be proficient in the production process and iterative design Demonstrate understanding of packaging design revisions and its potential impact on material costs Actively research consumer and market trends and apply them to packaging design and materials Serve as subject matter expert in packaging materials and substrates to be used Provide updates on current projects to Graphics Manager and Project Manager Communicate project status and needs with the Asia team for production finalization Support other Designers throughout the design process Demonstrate strong time management Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously Able to switch priorities as needed due to business demands Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in graphic design, art, industrial design or related field preferred Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) 3 - 5 years of experience in packaging design in the consumer packaging industry, ideally with consumer goods Experience working with and updating styleguides Strong graphic design skills An eye for innovation and creativity Experience working with print-based graphic design Working knowledge of printing processes (4 colors, spot colors, mechanical preparation, paper stock, and file formats) Clear understanding of print expectations, including bleeds, die lines, retouching, formats, resolution, etc. Opportunity to work with a dynamic and creative team on well-known brands Please note: Only applications that include a portfolio or work samples showcasing your packaging design work will be considered Physical Requirements The employee typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone, and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
