We currently have an
exciting opportunity in our Lagging department. This position specifically is located in Norfolk, Virginia. We are looking for a
Insulator J2 to work 1st shift. Shift : 6:00 AM to 2:45 PM
Security Clearance : No Clearance
GUIDELINES FOR INSULATION MECHANIC
*Selected candidates will need to take
Mold Remediation Class* JOURNEYPERSON 2 (INSULATION MECHANIC)- Must meet all Journeyman 1 Insulation Mechanical requirements.
- Must be able to layout overhead and bulkheads structures using 1 inch and 2 inch waffle back studs properly.
- Must be able to install sheet rubber, tube rubber, and fiber glass pipe covering on steam, and chill water systems.
- Assist Journeyman mechanics 3 or 4 on installing calcium silicate steam systems properly.
- Assist Journeyman mechanics 3 or 4 on applying finishing cement on calcium silicate.
- Must have the knowledge of the material to reinstall on the job.
- Assist Journeyman mechanics 3 or 4 on installing pads on pipe flanges, valves, ventilation systems, and engine exhaust systems.
