Job Description

Join to apply for the Executive Recruiting Director role at Microsoft . As part of the Global Executive Talent Acquisition team, you will partner with executive leaders across the company to identify and hire senior talent and develop longterm executive recruiting strategies.

We are looking for a candidate who brings deep business and industry acumen, especially in Engineering & Artificial Intelligence hiring, and who can build relationships, drive strategic hiring plans, and ensure a seamless candidate experience.

Responsibilities

Our executive recruiting practices focus on longterm relationship building, succession planning, and proactive engagement. The role will include:

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Use data, metrics and a deep understanding of business requirements to advise on talent gaps.
  • Apply knowledge of hiring managers needs to guide the development of endtoend executive hiring plans.
  • Consult on critical talent needs and opportunities and influence leaders to broaden talent considerations.

Data Analysis

  • Analyze relevant data and trends to inform executive hiring conversations.
  • Lead executive hiring projects for complex organizations, addressing both shortterm and longterm talent needs.

Candidate Attraction

  • Use knowledge of competitor opportunities to differentiate Microsofts career possibilities and convey a compelling message to prospective executive candidates.
  • Use storytelling and coaching to help senior leaders attract and hire candidates.

Candidate Experience

  • Leverage longterm relationships with relevant industry communities.
  • Use networking tactics to talentscout for Microsoft.
  • Manage candidate assessment framework and adopt best practices.
  • Enhance candidate experience by proactively mitigating factors that could negatively impact candidates.
  • Partner with totalrewards colleagues to design and deliver offers.

Operational Compliance & Excellence

  • Maintain documentation on candidates qualifications and status in compliance with guidelines.
  • Capture data in the recruiting platform and use analytics to generate insights.

Qualifications

Required / Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree and 8+ years of talent acquisition experience (recruiting, sourcing, HR, or industry), or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of executive recruiting experience in Engineering/AI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree and 15+ years of talent acquisition experience, or Masters Degree and 12+ years of experience.
  • Sustained track record of success in executive talent acquisition within technology or a closely related industry.
  • Ability to provide the highest level of executive communication to stakeholders, partners, prospects, and candidates.
  • Demonstrated executive talent acquisition at scale in a complex environment with a record of gamechanging hires.
  • Ability to operate autonomously under ambiguity in a global setting.
  • Ability to deliver results while creating an environment for growth and success.

Talent Acquisition IC6 Base pay range: $130,900 $277,200 (U.S. overall). Specific location ranges: $165,600 $303,600 (San Francisco Bay Area & New York City). Other benefits and compensation applicable.
