Our 57 schools in NYC strive to give every student a fair shot at reaching their potential. We are seeking a results-driven Dance Teacher to join our community. In this role, you will: Build a classroom culture in which scholars develop a love of dance Collaborate with dance teachers across the network to build a world-class dance program, while engaging the community in the vital role of the arts in education Engage students with a repertoire that centers learning on creating, connecting, performing and responding to artistic works within dance Demonstrate dance technique and choreography through movement Design and execute professional-quality dance performance opportunities for all scholars Receive training with school leaders and benefit from targeted, in-the-moment feedback regarding instruction to accelerate learning and growth Qualifications Have or will receive a Bachelor’s degree prior to start date Achieved outstanding academic results Professional training in a rigorous dance program or extensive professional performance credits Passionate about dance and learning; enjoy working with children and implementing effective dance instruction Set ambitious goals and are willing to work hard to achieve them Confident and presence — enjoy leading and inspiring others Enjoy collaborating with others Have leadership experience (e.g., leadership on a club or team; experience overseeing/managing people or organizing activities) Strong attention to detail; able to juggle multiple responsibilities and priorities Experience working with groups of children Embody the ETHOS: Excellence, Teamwork, Humor, Ownership Compensation Compensation Range

$65,000 - $65,000 USD
